burn meter and activity log -are te the same thing?
Hello - sorry if this is a silly question...
My burn meter tells me I will burn about 2020 cals per day (I weigh 144lbs, 5ft 11" tall and go spinning - for a 530 cal burn - approx 4 times per week). My question is do I log what I burn in the gym in ADDITION to the 2020 cals I am burning per day or is ithe 500 extra gym burn t already incorporated into the 2020?
Thank you for any reply!

It depends. If you put your self in as "sedentary", you can then add the calories for your workouts. If you took those activities into account and made yourself light or moderately active -- then you shouldn't count them.
I put myself in as "lightly active", because I take the stairs at work, play on my Wii, bowl twice a week, and coach kids. I don't add any of these activites. I do add my treadmill time and weight lifting because they are extra -- I purposely didn't Take them into account when I gave myself the "lightly active" setting.
Thanks Karozel... I have been logging extras on top of my workout burn meter rate... hence me going wrong! I appreciate your reply. Still, I've still lost weight so all isn't lost!

I'm confused about the meters. The burn meter has a top number of 2260 and the bottom number is 1843. What do they mean. I put in the profile moderately active. I walk every chance I get at work and do "stuff" at home most of the evening. I generally do something during commercials (put away the dishes, get the pot of coffee ready for the next morning) busy stuff not real workout stuff. I go to water aerobics (1 hour) 3 times a week. I'm just getting into walking at night when I can (about 20 minutes) I will add a block every week until I get up to 45 minutes (about 1.5 miles). The calorie meter says 1400. I generally do 1100 - 1350. Where does the burn meter number play into this. I would like to loose about a pound week. I have been eating the same amount of calories for the past two months with the same activity (except the walking just started this week), I have not lost anything. Can anyone help me.
Thanks
