Burn Meter - Eating Meter

Quote  |  Reply

I'm sorry to ask this if is covered in a bunch of other places...but...what has to be the difference between your burn meter and your eating meter in order to lose weight?

For example, my burn meter says 2896 cal

my eat meter says  1439 cal

I thought i heard that there has to be 1000 cal between these two - is that right?

Thank you for your suggestions

Your eat meter should not be MORE than 1000 calories LESS than your burn meter (right now you have a 1400 calorie deficit), although -- if you weigh more than 350 lbs then you are usually ok with a little higher deficit, if you weigh close to your goal, you will find it almost impossible to maintain a 1000 cal deficit.
Thank you coach_k. Is there a place on this site that talks about the relationship between these two numbers? I could not find one.
Ok, maybe THIS is dumb, but I am so new here, and I have no idea what the eat/burn meters do and/or mean. Can someone explain this to me? Sorry if this is a lame request... thanks though!
sent you a PM with the information

Can I have that information over the burn/eat meter as well because I just signed up and I need that information as well. Thanks

Could I ask for that same pm as well?

Half the time, I'm not sure if I'm trying to have the bottom bigger number surpass the small number that keeps changing on my burn meter.

What if your eat meter is 1500 less than your burn meter? Frown(only on my work out days, I usual burn about 600 cals extra)
