I haven't added any foods or activities today and I have a question about the burn meter...At the top it says Total Estimate 1850 cal ...What exactly does that mean?

and Below that it says 1461 cal - click to update. Isn't one of the numbers how many calories your body burns without doing anything? Please advise. I'm going to add some foods and an activity and see how it changes or does it represent personal info based on information you have entered. Thanks for the answer. NS

I believe, the number at the top is your estimated burn for the whole day -- based on your activity level (that you put in + any added activity), the number below that is the burn at that stage during the day (I think it runs midnight to midnight based on the numbers I'm seeing).

Thanks, Coach_K,

I read in another post about Burn Meter that said she put in sedentary as her exercise and then added her activities so they would not be in there twice. I looked at your profile and I admire a swimmer. I think I got my Jr. lifesaving badge one summer in college and haven't been in the water much since. Regards, ns
