Burn Meter question
I haven't used the tools much since CC+ started:
Does the Burn Meter total include what's in the day's activity log?
I think that's all it is. Any activity in the activity log is calculated up to a burn meter. That's my understanding anyway
No, the burn meter also calcualtes the calories burned just by being alive in addition to what you put in the activity log.
If you have not set your resting metabolic rate you should do so. Go to the following link and set up your goal weights, lifestyle and it will calculate how many calories you need to eat and how many are burned by just doing thing like pumping blood and digesting food.

Thanks, taranis1, I've done all that. I was wondering if the burn meter included activities as well as the "staying alive" calories you describe, but obviously it does.
If my food meter is lower than my burn meter does that mean I lost weight that day? How does it work?
Sorry guys, I am still in the dark on this even after your posts.
I cannot figure out where burn meter number comes from and where the big number in that blue square come from?
Can someone explain i tin plain english?
Also, in activity log- sleeping time: naps during the day, or you should record your overnight 7 hours of sleep?

The EAT meter TOP number shows the number of calories you have selected as your target goal (in your account settings -- you can change it)
The EAT meter BOTTOM number reflects the calories you are logging into your food log.
The BURN meter TOP number is the total estimated calories you burn based on your age, height, current weight, gender, and activity level -- if you set yourself as "sedentary" and then add in your activity calories -- those are added into the TOP number.
The BURN meter BOTTOM number shows how many calories you have burned at the moment you are looking at the meter. This number starts at 0 at midnight, reflects all the calories you burned throughout the night while sleeping, all the calories you burn just by living, and calories normally expended at your listed activity level. When (If) you add in activity minutes -- it will also reflect that added to the total.
If you stay up until midnight you can see both meters switch over to 0.
THANK YOU SHEILA ! Not sure why that burn meter was hard to crack for me. Seems simple concept. THANK YOU AGAIN !
