Burn Meter and Total Calories?

Quote  |  Reply
If my burn meter says 2330 and I have eaten about 1450 today, would that equal little less than 1000 defeceit? Is that correct? Should I be eating more, or is this enough? I have trouble understanding how much to eat in accordance with the burn meter.....can anyone help me understand? Thank you!

I think you want to eat only the amount of your goal calories.  The burn meter is how many you aproximately burnt during the day.  If your calories equal out you won't gain.  If you eat more than you burn you'll gain and if you eat less than you burn you'll loose.

That's how I understand it anyways.  Hope that helps and good luck :)

Thanks. But does that equal a 1000 calorie defeceit? Is that ok, or should it be more like 500?

You have about a 850 calorie deficit which is fine depending on the person. Try not to go below a 1000 deficit. If you have a 500 cal deficit you should lose 1 lb a week.

Since I only need to lose 7-10lbs I can only let myself have a 250-500 deficit without my body going into a plateau so I lose about half a pound a week. Which is fine. The more you are active the more you should eat. Technically if you ate 1830 Cal a day you should still lose 1lb a week providing you are still burning 2330 everyday.
