tastes like popcorn!

Toasted oatmeal, possibly... but try not to eat burnt anything.

toasted probably is a better way to put it. =]

I know eating burnt things isn't goo, although I'm not sure why exactly.

Another fun, easy, tasty way to eat oatmeal is to make it into a pancake.  I use a package of instant oatmeal, 1 egg white, 1/4 cup of milk and 1 tblspoon of raisins.  Mix together and make in a pan just like a pancake.  It's almost like having an oatmeal raisin cookie for breakfast:)

I routinely explode my oatmeal in the uber-powerful microwave at work.  I don't think I could burn it if I tried, it would be all over the place before I got that far.

I think burnt anything can taste a little like popcorn because popcorn already has that burnt taste to it anyway.

Eating burnt food is not recommended because of the high content carcinogens which can cause cancer. Burning food also destroys the nutrients (not sure by how much, though.) We do take in a small amount whenever we cook/bake/grill food. I don't think you have anything to worry about since you said it was pretty much toasted instead of burnt. :)

So you shouldnt eat burnt toast?? I always heard that burnt toast was good if you had a headache/migraine.

Toasted muesli usually contains toasted oats... I prefer my muesli untoasted, but it's pretty popular where I come from.

To keb: No, you shouldn't eat burnt toast. I have no idea why someone thought that would be good for a headache!
