Why do I burp and regurgitate a little after I eat?

Answer

Belching may be caused by over-filling the stomach, swallowing air, nervous tension, post-nasal drip, or dyspepsia, which can occur for a variety of reasons, including gastroesophageal reflux (GERD).  If your symptoms continue, see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.  Avoid bending over or lying down for 2 to 3 hours after eating, and see if you feel better when you avoid large portions and these foods: chocolate, coffee, alcohol, fatty foods, peppermint, citrus fruits and juices, tomato products, pepper, mustard, and vinegar.

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
