So I'm new to this forum and to counting calories. I thought I was doing really good. I'm allowed 1550 calories a day. For dinner tonight I had baked chicken breast, brown rice and steamed asparagus. At the last minute I added a slice of butter to my rice for flavor and that tiny slice of butter was like 100 freaking calories!! I need flavor that won't sabotage my progress, any suggestions?

I find that i am very satisfied with 3 or so grams of butter on my bread or vegs and thats like 20cals, so i am not dissapointed by butter at all, when i grew up my mom was so scared of fat we never had butter in the house, and now i a big treat for me is toast with butter, strange cause its what some people eat tthis at every meal, its very nice with some thin carrot slices on it, yummy.
