Did you ever buy a product that was meant for one use, except you used it for another? What was this product, what was it's intended use and what do you use it for instead?
Oh... I use tons of stuff on crap that's meant to be used to other things. Here are just a few
hair serum on skin makes your skin feel like silk
mineral oil or if you perfer it scented -->> baby oil (which IS scented mineral oil) i use them to dust because I don't like the lemon-smelly-type oils to dust
dishwashing detergent to wash baseball caps
static guard if my hair is static(y)
lotion if I run out of ^^static guard :/
paper clips to hold bra-straps back if I'm wearing a tank-top with the back strap thingy like this
what about you? you didn't say if or how YOU used things intended for other stuff :D
Preparation H: I know, I know. lol I use it for mosquito bites. It also calms, soothes and stops the itch and reduces swelling. Just as it says it's supposed to, but not for the part intended!
One of my relatives somehow used Coca-Cola with her laundry.
Hoof cream for horses! Bought it for my wife who was spending a fortune for some cream to strengthen her fingernails. Think she was paying something like €40.00 for a few ounce from Revlon or someone. If you go to a feed store, you can buy about a quart of hoof moisturizer that is made to keep the hoof from splitting for about €10.00. It has lasted her about 2 years and still has half left and her nails grow like crazy and are as strong as a horse!
Crest regular paste toothpaste
It cleans/polishes tarnished silver! Just rub on and rub with your fingers or use a toothbrush and it cleans beautifully!

That's like Bag Balm as well (cow udder ointment). It really helps chaffed or chapped body parts!

its the fluoride that does it. i use that too.
plain white vinegar mixed with water makes a good glass cleaner.
cheap vodka mixed with water makes a good disinfectant.
a small paintbrush dampened with mouthwash is good for cleaning your keyboard, getting the dust from between the keys.
those plastic dish scrubbers... i use that, a clean one of course allocated just for this purpose, to clean some veggies like potatoes & carrots. that way i don't have ta peel 'em.
of course, i use regular dish liquid for cleaning my car, but its been awhile, admittedly.
oh, yea, once I bought some socks for a baby for my dog. she injured her foot and i had to keep it bandaged for awhile and to keep the bandages clean i used the baby-socks.
cloth diapers also make really good housecleaning rags. very absorbent. they have that texture that works well on glass, no streaking.
dr, bronner's liquid soap - the unscented stuff - for bathing my dog.
of course, who hasn't used an old toothbrush to clean the black funk outta the cracks around the kitchen sink?
that's all i can think of for now.
... oh, a detatchable shower head with a massage setting has other purposes too..... washing the dog & the tub! ![]()

OMG OMG OMG! I LOVE THIS! What a brilliant idea!!! (and made me giggle too!)
my husband uses palmolive (dish soap) for washing our cars too! I always thought that was funny.
I use an olive oil mixture to wash my face! A trick discovered here on CC!
I use conditioner instead of shaving cream when I shave my legs...works amazing! legs are really smooth and I get some nice smelling stuff at the dollar store!
I use baby powder, the Burts Bees stuff, in my pits when I get outta the shower.
Also, I haven't done it in awhile, but coconut oil or olive oil is great as a conditioning treatment if left in for several hours nder a plastic cap.
Once I tried using egg, then blow-dried my hair. I had scrambled eggs all in my hair! I don't recommend that.

paper clips to hold bra-straps back if I'm wearing a tank-top with the back strap thingy like this
http://www.amazon.com/BRA-Strap-Concealer-Hol der-Clip/dp/B001MGRHMA/ref=pd_sbs_a_10 They have this bra strap concealer/holder clip. It's pretty cheap and comes in super handy. It doesn't stick into your skin, pinch, or scratch. It's so lightweight and comfortable it's like it's not there. I just thought I'd share this with you because it may thrump other tactics. Lol. It's pretty cheap and you can use them over and over. :)
I love the cow udder cream for my hands, they crack in the winter.
Small plumbing pipes in the hamster cage so he can tunnel and get some alone time.
Dish soap as a presoak for when my uniforms get greasy.
Vinegar to get the hard water stains out of the toilet.
Lots more, but I can't think of them right now.
Chafing relief gel for makeup primer.
Oh, internet, you tell me the most useful things. :)
