I think you should make sure you get one with Resistance and Incline adj.  you'll get more for your money
yea, thanks ill be sure to do that. but do you know any good brands?

I bought one at sports authority three years ago for around $750.

In 2007 is the first time i really started using it non stop.

"The Horizon Advantage E 6050" I know they don't sell that model any more.  When i first went looking i had them turn it on and i really tried it out. You have to find one that feels solid when you work it. No shaking, no noise, it should be smooth.

I hate to say this but the better models do cost more. its a big investment and a good one as long as you use it. For many years my Elliptical was a place to hang clothes.

I am not on a diet, I am changing my life style.

Precor is a good brand, that's what they have in a lot of gyms.  but i don't know if they have an affordable version of it. (love ellipticals!)
