Cake with diet soda

Today I made a spice cake with diet Hansen's Ginger ale.  I saw the idea on here and looked it up online.  I used a prepackaged spice cake mix and 10oz of a can of ginger ale, with 1/4 cup egg whites.  I made 24 cupcakes, which meant they were about 90cals each!  I am going to try other flavors too.

I used Hansen's since it had Splenda, but it works with all kinds of soda and flavors of cake I think :)

ps. you bake it per package directions

I just baked cupcakes made with choc cake mix added 2 egg whites and 1 cp diet pepsi when done i filled each cupcake with ff cool whip and it tastes just like a devil dog!!!!!!!!

How did you fill them??  What is a devil dog?

for my b/f's daughter's bday last week I got chocolate cake mix, 1 can of diet coke and baked as directions on box said....I topped off with low sugar frosting and they were yummy! I made them about a year ago and topped off with cool whip and some low sugar chocolate drizzle (like nestle chocolate).

You can also do banana bread/cupcake mix using diet cream soda! Yummy!
