12 cal NUTELLA!!

Quote  |  Reply
So today I was experimenting with some pudding and PB2, and I ended up coming up with a wonderful concoction!  I mixed a tablespoon of PB2 (which is 27 cals) with a fourth of a cup of sugarfree chocolate pudding (40 cals).  This made a nutella-like, amazing, chocolately, peanuty spread!  A fourth of a cup is around 6 tablespoons, so this mixture had about 12 cals per tablespoon!  AHH it was so good.. I spread it on a piece of toast, warmed it up in the microwave, and enjoyed my amazing "nutella."  Just had to share!

Oooo that sounds amazing!

I have been debating on whether or not I wanted to try PB2, but I might have to just to try that out!

Thank you =)
You should DEFINETLY give it a try.  The stuff is amazing.  I"m fortunate because my local grocery store carries it, but I KNOW that ordering it would be WELL WORTH IT! =)

Anyone else have any good PB2 concoctions? =)
I'm gonna check a few stores around here, HOPEFULLY someone will have some (although I seriously doubt it since no one ever thinks to send stuff here!  It seems like we never have anything popular!)

If I can't find it, I will order it...=P

Thanks, again, for the input!

Sounds delicious!  Where are you located, nwoodrum?  I live in Georgia and I have to order it!  How much do you pay in the store, if you don't mind my asking?

Hey Kare! I live in Iowa... at my store it's about $5.50. I actually think it sells for a little less on the website! You should definitely give it a try! =)
That is awesome. you just got me so excited. I have never heard of PB2 (but just checked out the website) and ever since my boyfriend and I started our "health kick" I have been crying about wanting nutella. I thank you, and am sure my boyfreidn thanx you as there will be 1 less thing for me to whine about.
gah! im going to the kitchen right now! this sounds heavenly!

i grew up with nutella on toast and haven't had it for about 3 years! YAYAYAYAY! THANK YOU!
what's pb2?
Let me know if you guys come up with any other awesome PB2 spreads!

helpless-- PB2 is a dry peanut mixture made from a company called Bell Plantation. The only ingredients are peanuts, sugar, and salt. The makers found a way to extract the oil and fatty substances out of the peanut, leaving only a fine peanut powder. To make a serving, you mix 2 Tablespoons of PB2 with one tablespoon of water. Instead of spending about 200 calories on regular peanut butter, you get an AWESOME substitute (I even think it tastes BETTER than peanut butter) for only 54 calories (per 2 Tbs). It's honestly amazing. YOu can order it from the bell plantation website if your local grocery doesn't carry it!

two pieces of light wheat bread (90 calories) two tablespoons of PB2 (54 calories) two tablespoons of sugar-free jam (20 calories) = an amazing PB&J for only 164 calories!!!!
Um, that's not even remotely like Nutella. Nutella = chocolate HAZELNUT not chocolate peanut butter.
I wasn't trying to duplicate Nutella-- of course, that would be pretty much impossible. I just thought I would share what I had come up with so that others wanting a lower-cal "alternate" could benefit.

I appreciate the creativity! Especially since I seem to crave something sweet at least once a day... this would be a great way to do it, and I bet the protein count ain't so bad either... Hey, feel free to share any other new concotions!

Awesome!  I just got on the website and ordered some.  I am so excited.  I love PB & J sandwiches and never knew anything like this was available.  Can't wait to get it... thanks for sharing.!!!
omg guys! i have tasty news! so i went to the kitchen all excited to make some nutella. i had already made it once and it was beyond words. so i open the cupboard only to find that we're out of pudding! so i jet off to the store in search of some pudding mix and im heartbroken when i see the nearly empty shelf! GAH! but my eyes wander a little to the shelf above. and there, staring at me in the face, is "jello white chocolate"

let me just say this. i have some bad news for nutella, because this stuff could literally wipe them out of business. its sinful. it really is.
psst: a fourth of a cup is 4 tablespoons.

But you should've ended up with 5 tablespoons because you had 1 tbsp of PB2 and 4 tbsps of chocolate pudding.

That sounds super good.
picklepug:  i am DEFINETLY going to try that tonight!  sounds amazing!!  thanks for sharing!

rebecca:  i was never good at math *blushes* thanks for your corrections! =)
I just got my PB2 today!!! I'm SOOOO excited to try this!
never tried it...but would LOVE to hehee....anyways i checked out the site...and you should enter in the recipe contest hah cash prize:)..... will try and order it if it can ship to canada...........
I just ordered it from the website. The nearest store that carries it was over 50 miles away, haha. I'm so excited to try it out! I love peanut butter but am deathly afraid of eating it because it just seems like such a little amount has wayy too many calories for my liking...calories that i would rather expend on a couple sweet potatoes or something big!
