I'd be interested to know that as well.. If you think about it the rice its wraped in is the most unhealthy type of rice, but the seaweed is really good for you, then inside you have alvocado which is pretty high in fat but the good fat, then some crab meat usually mixed with mayo the bad fat? Seems like its got the best of both worlds... i'd say they aren't the healthiest roll on the menu... but not the worst.. about 250-260 cals per roll... cucumber roll is the least at 130cals... but you can climb up to 544cals a roll with a shrimp tempura roll.. yikes.. as long as you just eat a roll and dont eat tempura and gioza etc. i think it should be fine..
not bad at all I pick some of the rice off and are even better cc them they are in there...
i love california rolls.  i know they're made with usually either mayo or lots of avacado so i try and have a plain cucumber roll or salmon roll along with it, instead of having a ton of them.
where i get them, they're made with brown rice. cucumber, avacado and crab meat mixed with rice and nori = a delicious and GUILT FREE treat.
they are not bad at all. They are delicious.

Why are you asking?
i love them. estimate around 40-50 cals for a piece of california sushi.
love them..they're so fetch!

California rolls aren't made with mayo. Spicy tuna rolls sometimes are.

I really love vegetable rolls. Beans sprouts, cucumber, carrots, avocado, shiritaki mushrooms OH MY! :D

Veggie rolls, ahi rolls and the rainbow rolls are my favorites.
I'm pretty sure you can get them in Brown Rice too at publix..
The ones I get are 300 cals for 9 pieces and they're made with brown rice =)

I LOVE THEM!

I get em at Safeway...

THAT'S WHAT I WAS GOING TO SUGGUEST... GO CHECK OUT THE PACKAGED CA ROLLS AT RALEY'S OR TRADER JOE'S AND IT SHOULD GIVE YOU A PRETTY GOOD IDEA.... I JUST STARTED COUNTIN CALS TODAY AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I TRIED TO LOOK UP! LET ME KNOW IF YOU GET THE EXACT ANSWER!

THANKS!!!Smile

there are definitely better choices out there if you're trying to lose weight. but if you are craving them, there is no need to cut them out of your diet.

maybe because this is a weight loss forum and she wants to assess how well they fit into her diet plan?
