hiya guys,
so ive started a new regime to lose some fat. i run for 20 mins, walk for 20 mins (mix those 2 up) then i do 10 mins on a stepper machine and 10 mins on a cross trainer and i do weights!
i have also incorporated callanetics so one day ill go easier on the weights, come home and pop in the callanetics as apparently it can help with inch loss as all the photos show,
butttttt why is it not having an effect on me
im 5'3 119 lbs, small frame, skinny on top, with sme tummy flab but boy do i have hips, - 40 inch. and they have been 37 once when i kind of had an eating disorder, neway am i doing callanetics wrong? how long does it take, definitely not 10 days.
arghhh i just want to lose the saddlebags, i dont even mind being 39-40 inch if i didnt have saddlebags that make wearing anything other than tight jeans a no go area.
help :S

Do you mean you're expecting significant results in 10 days?
no, but thats the title of the video - 10 years younger in 10 hours.
and then they show before and after pictures, it really is amazing. it just wont/doesnt seem to be having an effect on me.

I think for real problems it takes time. Think back- are some of the excercises in the problem areas easier to do now? If so, you HAVE results. I find it difficult to excercise ,but whenever I get motivated,I try callenetics. I've always felt within a few days I can do the difficult ones more easily. The easy ones of course are easy so how can I notice if they are working?. the the ones that you have difficulty (you no way look like Callen effortlessly holding the extreme pose) you can only look for better movement to show you HAVE improved. If you cannot think back, do the excercises again now try to remember and compare in 10 days time.(callens excercises are simple enought one could try out the just the difficult ones(ones you cannotdo perfecty easily) every day to see if there is an improvement. Since you did not warm up properly, do not overdo it- just go through the range of motion as correctly as possible- when I injured a shoulder, just trying to make an effort trying to be symmetrical in her arm movements every day worked wonders. Every day the injured arm could match the good arm with less effort, even though I did not go through her advised routine and as a result took excercising easy.
What is your calorie deficit?? If you are eating too much you won't lose weight. Spot reducing also doesn't work. your body will choose where and when it wants to lose inches from. I'd give it a few months and also be sure to do different workouts every couple weeks to keep your body working. Doing the same routines all the time just teaches the muscles what to do and doesn't work them.
the ten years younger I think really applied to those with"medical" problems that have slowly stiffen their joints and lessened their range of motion. (one of her vidios showed someone though she looked very healthy and fit, just could not do a movement in the range that should be normal. Callen modified her movement for her for until she gained strength and flexibility to be able to do it properly ) Also I think the title applied to applied to flabby people who did no regular excercise. I do not think the videio is that clear on that aspect of things. I went through two of her books and from my earlier post, it is clear her excercise helps with some injuries very well. ( no pain involved - just effort was sufficent). If you are fit (and of a healthy weight) it will be hard for the loss to show up. In one of the books there are a lot of photos- the people less"fit" showed overall a more dramatic improvement. the ones who were more fit showed less dramatic improvement. From what I could remember those people were ONLY working out with her workouts, not engaged in other exercises. Since all the photos showed them to be what I consider "flabby", I definately think for you to show "loss" it will take time. Her excercises are for the unfit to become fit and for the fit to stay fit with the least effort. I find all excercises tedious?,boring? - only injury (need) will motivate me for prolonged effort. Heart attack shoveling snow is my fate??? DUMB.
