Calling all indulgences to confession....

Quote  |  Reply
I will be posting this for all of those people that had a little trouble staying on track.....We can laugh , cry, and confess our indulgences ... And forgive our selves...So I'm here ready to listen to your confessions....And may have a few of my own....

An indulgence is not a binge. Please stop calling it that, for those who truely have a problem with binging, and for those who can be realistic enough to let themselves have an indulgence without making themselves crazy that they've gone off track.

Is haveing a dairy queen burger, onion rings, regular pepsi  and........................18 malibu and  pineapple considered BINGING lmao......when I loose my mind I loose hard core......I think the hang over is a great cure for not doing that for another 10 years.....I don't usually drink at all ever , but had a good  ole fashioned high school reunion with a few close friends and well so much for my  diet lastnight  :( god help me !!!!!! argh...

Please ... This just a light hearted thing for people that stumbled alittle and it gives them a place to confess and move on... I have noticed that allot of people are kicking their own butts because they find it hard to forgive themselves for indulgences and binging...And I thought to give them an outlet and have fun with it... So please stop with the political correctness And lighten up

As amethystgirl said, "getting a little off track" and having an indulgence is not a binge, and while I realize this was supposed to be a lighthearted topic, you're only making it more difficult for people (especially newcomers) to know the difference between binging and overeating. Why not just name it "overeaters" or even just "dieters" or "calorie counters"..

aaaawwhhhh man! thanks for putting up this thread. PERFECT TIMING. i was doing great all month (not perfect but great). today for the first time i really went off track. i bought chocolate cheese cake that was seriously over priced, and ate it in the car. atleast i shared with a friend. the guilt didn't start there.

THEN i bought a couple slices of pizza for friends on my way home. by the time i got there, one of the slices disappeared. hhhmmmm?? i wonder where i left it? i didn't even want it. i kept telling myself, " this is not worth it". well, there, i have confessed.... guilty. the punishment.....100 sit ups before bed time!

btw , this all happened in the last 30 minutes, that's why this thread is perfect timing. my worst day yet in 2008.

today i sat on my butt the whooole day, and ate a whole box of cookie dough bites on top of all my meals.
i know this isn't a binge, it's an indulgence, but i have felt guilty for it.
i agree that people should lighten up. op DIDN'T use the word binge, so i dont know why it should be brought up.

Thank you triaxletrixy.

I am hung over because I fell off the wagon last night.  I had 8 lite beers and I haven't had a drink in 5 weeks so it kinda went right to my head.

I think being light hearted about indulging and falling off the wagon is good for us and in no means is anyone trying to be disrepectful.  I understand people might have serious problems but they should really be getting help for those problems.  People here should not feel this is a safe place for them to recover from such serious conditions.  This could be a good tool to keep people on track.  And having light hearted discussions should not offend or discourage anyone.  If anything it should be helpful fun.

Was your original post edited because I can't even tell how and why you offended?

I decided at the last minute last night to go out and I ended up at a tapas bar where I indulged in little deep fried morsels of sin and mojitos- I don't even want to look at the scale this morning...but I will out of curiosity...

Yes I did edit it ... It was a typo on my part.....The idea was to give people an out let for cheating and then feeling guilty... I know when I feel guilty about something I eat I have let it take me way off track. And so I write about it on here and I got so much support that I decided to put a thread up every week for people to get rid of the guilt and move on...But as you can see some how I managed to get people in a tizzy for a misprint....

As to the first part of your entry I hope your head dose not hurt too bad... I had 3 glasses of wine on Friday and boy did I pay for it on Saturday...LOL I'm back on track now.... Thank you for your support... And I hope you are back on track... Good luck

My 21st birthday party was Friday. I drank lots of mixed drinks, shots, and my boyfriend made spinach artichoke dip that is worth a few pounds!! So good! It was the first day I didn't count since starting.  It was worth it, even though my scale is terrifying right now from that and TOTM weight.
I think I OD's on ice cream friday night but only a lb up on the scale and it'll go back down soon.
I haven't indulged yet, but I'm really craving some super cheesy pizza right now! Somebody talk me down from the edge!!!! Aaaaaauuuuuggh!

If that is the case ....STEP AWAY FROM THE PIZZA....Good luck Super bowl night is always hard for me I had a beer .....AHHHHHAHHHHwhaaaaaa....hiccup *( burp ) Sorry...

I'm okay...nuked some broccoli-stuffed chicken breast, more broccoli and some corn...sprinkled a little kraft cheese powder on everything to appease the Cheese Fiend! The Fiend has been sated and is resting quietly....until next time...  mwahahaha!

Good for you.... Sounds like you got it under control and gave me a great idea for a good meal thanks...

What is Kraft cheese powder? Where do you find it? Is it for popcorn?

blah... good timing on this!!! i'm glad i'm not the only one who fell off the wagon this weekend... i did excellent friday, great on saturday- ate a lot but turned out i ended up at my maintenance level.... and then blew it sunday! man oh man... the sad part is i put it all in my counter first to see what damage i'd do and i ate it anyway lol pizza.... snacks... lots of wine... no it's not some crazy amount, but i don't have crazy goals either so it was a lot relatively speaking. the good thing is i think i felt crappy enough to remind myself not to do it next weekend :/

p.s. what's this cheese powder?! i have a terrible addiction to cheese! sounds great.
