I am 5'0 and 148-150lbs and slightly active. I cant seem to stay under 1200 calories. If I eat 1200 calories I am starving. In the last 2 weeks I decided to up my calories to 1400-1500. It is much easier to maintain and I dont feel like I am starving or anything. But I weighed myself to day and I am back at 149.5. I started in Sept at 150! I took me a couple months to get down to 146 and now I am right back where I started!
I do excersixe sometimes but it is not consistent as I have a really hectic schedule for the next 1.5 months.
How many calories do you ladies with similar stats eat? What are your activity levels? Rate of weight loss?
Also curious about anyone who is at or around 130lbs and on maintnance and around 5 ft tals?

I am 5'0 and weigh 135 but my goal is 120. I eat about 1200 calories on a normal day. I exercise at least once a day sometimes more. I have lost 7 pounds in about 3 weeks.
I am 5'0 and weigh 120 and my goal is 103. I eat around 800 calories a day but im always hungry. I excercise a couplr of times a week and walk to and from school which is around 3 miles. So far i have lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks x
800 calories isn't enough! Especially if you exercise! You need to eat at least 1200 for your body to function. If you keep eating that little your body may go into starvation mode and you'll gain! EEPS!
So good news...you don't have to be that hungry, because you get to eat 400 more calories! Yea!
But congrats on the weight you've lost so far. That's great.
It's been a while but I remember another of our members who was absolutely starving and exhausted when eating 1200/day. Have you used the tools on this site to see how many you should be eating to lose? Try this: calories needed for weight loss.
Also if it is possible to squeeze in just a LITTLE exercise every day, it will speed things. Even like a few sets of jumping jacks or jumping rope, something that doesn't require so much of your time as walking or running would, or going to the gym. Not only does exercise burn calories, it speeds the metabolism as well.
