Calorie Balance Graph
I think it would be really interesting to have the value of the overall net calorie deficit or surplus available as a graph. Subtract base calorie requirement plus activity calories from calories consumed. You could convert it to a prediction of lbs gained or lost by dividing by ~3500, and add it as a 3rd graph line to the weight history. It would be interesting to see how well it tracks actual weight loss.

Another great idea for improving the site. There have been tons of good ideas, some easy and some hard. But it appears that there is little emphasis to improve the site.
Agreed... it's been years since someone first proposed this idea, and people keep bringing it up at least once a week, but nothing was ever done.
takes little to no time to maintain your own spreadsheet. i used to do that when i was trying to make my hypothyroidism a mere numbers game, as i needed to put a finer point on things.

Quite true, which is what I've done. It's a minor hassle to copy over the calories consumed and activity log each day. So far, I've got a net calorie deficit average of .23 lbs per day, and an actual loss of .32 lbs per day, over 3 weeks. Knowing this, the fact that I've hit a plateau for the last week or so doesn't concern me.
