What to do after a 4000 calorie binge?
I feel sick.
What do I do now? I don't have time to work out and I was doing SO WELL before this
dieting is kinda like a rehab program. it's quitting bad habbits, and no matter how well you do, you are going to slip. Do what they tell rehabbers to do. Take it a day at a time. you mess up one day, jsut learn from your mistake and move on to the next day. messing up one day will NOT mess up your whole diet.
I would just take today as a loss. I think you might need to look over what your are eating and how often you are eating because if you need to binge then you aren't being satisfied. But just take today as a losss, try to work out, and don't be down on yourself. And please don't do anything unhealthy to make yourself feel better today. It happens and noone is perfect.
Learn from today, forgive yourself, and move on.
Tomorrow is a fresh new day.
Drink lots of water, first of all.
Get a good night sleep, make sure you go to the gym tomorrow, and hop back on the 'healthy eating' wagon again tomorrow.
Do nothing. Let it go. You made a mistake.
Do better tomorrow.
Take a bit of advice from old blue eyes - 'That's Life"
I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king
I've been up and down and over and out and I know one thing
Each time I find myself flat on my face
I pick myself up and get back in the race
pick yourself back up and start over, look for patterns as to what might have set you off either emotional (depressed / anxious) or physical (not eating enough the day before)
Yup, everyone has the right idea here. Don't dwell on your mistake, even though it's hard not to. The only thing to do is pick yourself up and get back on track. I just had an over-eating/binge experience a couple hours ago. I got myself out of my apartment to prevent me from eating more, walked to the library, and brought myself a huge bottle of water.
i also binge 4000 calories today..but unlike usual, i didn't rant about it anymore..cause i finally realize something, everytime i binge,i will have energy to EXERCISE FOR 20-30 MINUTES..i guess because when i binge,i had a tonnes of sugar..and high sugar makes me more active..
P.S : Its not good at all i know..but usually i don't do exercise more than 5 minutes.
it happens
I hope you were kidding, wheatking29. This is a one-way ticket to Bulemia, the side effects of which my brother died from last year.
Why in the world would you suggest this? Take it from someone who dealt with Bulemia for about 20 years, throwing up is not the answer! It makes you sick, it can ruin your teeth, and you are alway, always tired.
qtang- Just move on and forgive yourself.
You know what, everyone needs a day off from something at some time. I just started reducing calories and I've been dutifully recording everything I've been eating and being so good, but in saying that I've decided that I'm not going to record my calories every Sunday, I'm going to give myself that day off every week. Now that doesn't give me the licence to binge, but after being so careful about what I'm eating all week, I know that for one day a week I'm going to need a day where I'm not worried about it or thinking about it.
So maybe, and this is just a thought, but maybe binging was your reaction to being too restrictive with what you are eating normally. And maybe you too could use a day off once in a while!
Can I lose weight by walking on the treadmill for 20 minutes twice a day?
You will lose weight if your calorie intake is less than your calorie output. By walking on the treadmill for 40 minutes, you (personally... Read more
