Hi, My name is Louise, I am 5'7", and I lose if I can maintain an average of 2200 calories/day, but it's hard, because I'm used to 2600 calories per day or more, and feel good on high calories! If anyone would like to join, that's fine. I'll edit my post, like "the nonchallenge."

I'm happy for you but entirely envious. If I ate 2200 calories a day, I'd be the size of a house in no time.

thats a nice maintainence for a woman, but if i ate 2200 cals a day, i would probably starve, lol. how about you try my challenge- eat 3500 cals a day, with no exercise. thats what i do alot of times, its not that hard, but quite expensive and time consuming.
oooh it would be so nice to be able to eat 2200
for me it would be a PIECE OF CAKE LOL
If you T-Tapped, you would have to eat, too! When I tapp, do the elliptical, walk or do Kettlenetics, I'm moving around 200 or so lbs, so it's more work! Alot more than, say, moving around 140 lbs.
So far, I slacked up and have been eating around 2500 calories after the first day.
Here's a pic of Teresa Tapp. She weighs about 125 lbs at 5'7" and eats between 2500-3500 calories per day: http://www.t-tapp.com .
This is it. I have to try something else - my calories wedge up there every day!
From now on, I'm going to try to stay under 2500 calories, and quit eating at 4PM. That way my digestive system gets a break.
Starting today, I quit eating at 4PM. I'll weigh AM to get the staring weight.
How early do you have breakfast - even if you wake up at 4am, that's still 12 hours of not eating.
Have you tried planning your meals ahead of time, so you know before the day starts how much you can eat without going over early?
Hi Amethystgirl, Nice handle! Thanx for responding.
My time was 6PM anyway, so it is two hours before. I like the bulk of my calories early, and I exercise at night, not in the AM, so I wake with an appetite.
Today I didn't get as much eating in as I wanted before 4PM, so I nursed my smoothie with protein powder, soymilk, flax seeds, and frozen berries, and a serving of frozen nonfat yogurt through 5PM. I am forgoing evening snacking, and it seems to work allright so far.
I am European descent, so my adult life I had my main meal by 2PM, then a snack at night. Europeans think it is amazing Americans can eat a big spaghetti meal in the evening, when they're winding down. I can't do it!
But 1200 or so calories by noon, no problem!

It didn't work so far, just stopping at 4PM. My weight today is at its former high of 204!
I will try again to keep my calories under 2200, because I know I lose weight then, applying Eat to Live principles (a lb of cooked veggies, a lb of raw veggies, a cup of beans, and four fruits).
How's everybody doing?

How many calories are you buring a day? Is your burn meter at sedetary and then you are adding in your exercise activites? I dont know if its me but eating 2400 calories a day is to much if you want to loose weight. I just got down to 200 lbs (205 two weeks ago) and i only eat about 1500 calories a day and work out about 6 days a week(buring about 600-800 calorie a workout). sometimes eat 1700 on a bad day
also...dont wiegh your self everyday...your weight fluctuates alot through out the week, and even through out the day because of water weight. You might be 200 in the morning but by late afternoon you could be 205.
hope the advice helps..good luck.
