My Calorie Coach is a jerk!!
So I'm about 10 days into this. Ben keeping close track of all my calories, always a healthy calorie deficit, working out, not boozing...always had the thumbs up from my "calorie coach." Today I weigh myself, and I'm down 9.5 lbs. Now my coach is giving me the thumbs down! WTF?!?! My fat intake is down, my cholesterol intake is down, my sodium is down...why the thumbs down? In the grand scheme of things, this doesn't matter, nor do I care...but up until now my daily food has always ben A-/B+ so I'm just curious why this imaginary coach is pissed at me!
IRelax, it's probably because 9.5 pounds in 2 weeks is a lot. CC recommends 2 pounds per week, and that is a lot more.
Not to worry, because if you are just starting out you can lose a lot of water weight the first week or so because of the changes in your diet... most likely less salt and sugary carbs.
Just don't get too frustrated when the losses slow down... and don't worry about the calorie coach... I've got a finger for him....lol
I ignore calorie coach...I've never been able to use it for anything useful so I just ignore it.
Check your burn meter and intake consumption on the accounts page and just compare the two numbers.
I've been wondering the same thing! I'm actually gaining weight (on purpose, lol), and have been doing quite nicely by my standards, but alas, I too receive the downward thumb! Maybe it thinks I'm gaining too fast? Let's see. . I'm up 9 lbs. in about 4 weeks. Too fast?
Or maybe it's because I don't actually log my food into the website? Does it think I'm not eating?
Bottom line, I am pleased with how I'm coming along, so who cares what a stupid little thumb says! It can boo all it wants, I'm making progress and that's what matters!
And pforsyth: I'd say the same goes for you! If you are meeting your goals then I'd say you're doing great! Don't let the evil thumb dishearten you! :P
seriously? its a cartoon thumb. meh.
use the analysis tool. thats all you need.
dont take it personally, thats too motivate you more and trick your mind into believing, "i didnt lose anything so im gona try harder".
