Calorie Coach - the target date has changed
I don't understand. The calorie coach said I'd reach my goal in December 2010 and now it says January 2010. Any ideas?
Have you changed your goal weight? Or have you lost weight recently and logged that? If you log weight loss, and its more than CC expected you to lose, your expected date will change. If you keep losing, the goal may get even closer, especially if you have a lot to lose. Once you start to plateau a little and your weight loss slows down, your goal weight will either stay steady, or even go back a little (from January 1st to January 15th, for example).
Thank you very much for replying. I've also just noticed that I did a massive typo in my original post (the dates). Whoo that would be a diet and a half.
I've been on this diet just over one week and been eating the prescribed 1650 daily calories. Last week I lost 2lbs. On the weight analysis you can see the original projected loss and the actual loss lines. I can see that about 1lb a week loss is the projected loss, so I am slightly ahead for my target.
I logged my weight loss on Tuesday. Yesterday (Friday) my target date changed from 29th Dec 2009 to 1st Jan 2010. My confusion is that if I am losing weight ever so slightly faster than CC projects, why would the target move to a later date, rather than an earlier one?
I wouldn't worry about that date too much, as long as the scale and your measurements are going down. Every day that a weight is not logged, that target date goes forward one day. when you log a weight, it should go back. If its hovering around the same time period, then you're doing well!
It's simply because the coding calculates your weight loss based on what day today is, and the most resent weight entered. Noticed that between Tuesday and Friday, that's three days and your date has gone ahead three days? In absence of a new entered weight, the coding just assumes that the last weight you entered is still exactly what you weight today. It'll fix itself when you enter a new weight.
Thanks to you both!
