calorie count iphone app?
Is there any word on an iphone app from calorie counter? I think that would be a huge step forward for this site and I know it would help me log my calories a lot easier, when it's not easy to get to a computer or when I don't have time to get to a computer.
You can just go to http://caloriecount.about.com via your Safari and utilize the website via the iPhone.
I've tried this and when I go to search for a food to add to my food log, it automatically jumps me to the mobile site. This doesn't help since the mobile site only lets you look at nutrition, but not actually access your account.
You're right, I'm sorry...
You can use the iPhone to look up nutritional info on food items via Safari, but not actually add them to your own account. I use it on my iPhone to make sure I am eating right. I add the items later when I get home.
It would indeed be nice to be able to log them in directly when you look them up on the iPhone with an app.
Ooooo that would be sooo amazing if they had that!!!
Hi there, I think that you all overlooked one little thing. I am able to go on to my account and log in my food and activities on my IPhone...When you go to the ccm.about.com...you go all the way down the page and you'll see: SEE FULL SITE, and that's where you'll see the whole site...and you can sign in into your account and log in your things. I hope this helps...I do it every day. ![]()
I guess I'll have to try it again. I managed to go to the full site using the link and use it to browse forum messages, but then as soon as I try to search for a food to add to my log, it redirects back to the mobile site.
Maybe if I just add already tagged or used foods, it won't do that. But I'd also like to search foods then add them.
Hi all, i follow calorie count on twitter and got a comment today that they are in fact working on an iphone app! Yay!
Awesome!!
Until they do.... there is an app that does pretty well.
It's called "Lose It" and it's been listed in the FREE section for ages now! I will use it until this site gets one up and running.
Count me as one more (new) user who would use the (free) iPhone app.
