Hello! ![]()
Are there any Canadians on this site?
If so, I thought it would be great if we lose weight together!

Ht: 5'2.5" (we both know how crucial that extra half-inch is!) Location: Alberta Age: older than you HW: 178lbs CW: 168lbs GW: 140lbs
What do you do for exercise? I'm trying to train for a 5K on October 28th, but I'm so bad at running! I keep trying to tell myself it's mental, and that I'm really NOT going to die if I do one more minute, but my legs/heart/lungs don't always agree. :)
Location- New Brunswick
Age- 18
Highest weight- 327lbs
Starting weight on CC- 320lbs
Current weight- 280lbs
Long-term goal- 170lbs
I've just been losing weight by eating healthier I guess. For exercise I walk, plus soon I'm going to be starting to learn to belly dance. From what I have heard its a good workout. Along with that some yoga. Fun fun. :D
Well I'm not Canadian yet but live here permanently, does that count?
Here are my stats:
Height- 5'11"
Location- British Columbia
Age- 26
Highest weight- 315lbs
Starting weight on CC- 315lbs July 27, 2007
Current weight- 300lbs Sept. 16, 2007
Short-term goal- 275lbs by Dec. 19, 2007
Long-term goal- 200lbs September 1, 2008
My tools for this journey are eating healthier stuff and better portions, spread out over the entire day. About 1600cals when not exercising and between 1700-1900 cals when I work out or do any kind of exercise.
My exercise is: cardio and weight training at the gym, pilates, tai chi and lots of walking from and after work
Awesome! Welcome fellow Canadiaaaans!
feydruss: That half inch is important when you're under 5'5", lol. For exercise I walk 15 minutes to college, and back, as well as from class to class. Also, I go to the gym three times a week. Here's my routine there: stretch, treadmill on incline, weight machines, cardio on the elliptical trainer, walk around the track they have at the gym, and stretch again. I'm a horrible runner, so I wish you all the luck in the world with your 5k run. ![]()
oba_bear: Congratulations on the 47lb loss! That's amazing, well done. And I've always wanted to try belly dancing, but I'm still very self conscious, lol.
sabineyvr: Get your citizenship girl! Haha, . I love B.C., quite a few relatives of mine live there, it is so beautiful.
I got my blood tests done today for my bariatric doctor. I had to fast for 12 hours, so I was all woosy afterwards, haha. For breakfast I had to bring a protein shake because the blood place is a city away. Once I got some real food in me I felt much better. They had to take 7 viles from me! I was like.. holy crapola! Maybe that will lower my weight, haha.. kidding!
