I am tring to keep my calorie intake at 1200. I am having a really hard time doing that. Any one have any suggestions to foods i could eat that are filling, and heathy?
1,200 is the minimum amount anyone should be eating just to get the right amount of vitamins. Are you sure you are getting enough to eat? Just making sure. On that note, I have found that eating things with empty calories, regardless of whether there are 100 or 300 calories in something, is just pointless. At this calorie intake, you will need to be sure that you're getting very nutritious meals with lots of protein. I usually snack on these items:
* 1 or 2 oz. of turkey
* Slice of non-fat cheese
* 1 Hardboiled Egg - just the white
* Handfull (approx. 10) almonds
Not the most tasty things to snack on, but they should leave you feeling relatively satisfied until your next meal. Be sure to include exercise into your calorie plan - if you're burning 400-500 calories at the gym it needs to be included in your count.
yeah, i find nuts really filling. (my fave is brazil nuts. they're petty tasty) i'm pescitarian but i hardly get any fish anyways, so i eat nuts to get more protein. wheat germ is fairly high in protein too.
