calorie counts

Ive only been on CC since the beginning of Sept.  So far I have lost 10 lbs.  I have noticed something and would like to know if anyone else has noticed this and if so, which do I follow?

When I read the nutrition facts on some items and then check them against the database, CC seems to be higher on some foods, ie: 4 oz chicken breast...The nutrition facts on the bag say it is 100 calories but the database is listing 187 calories.  Which one should I follow?

Follow what it says on the bag. The bag will pertain to what it is actually containing whereas the database has to make allowances for all generic types of foods.

If you have the info, you should add it in manually. When you're stuck or eating out, use the database. :)
thnk you !

meats are tricky because it depends on how much fat they are including.  If the food comes with a nutrition label, and it's a brand you buy often, add it manually, then tag it for future reference.
