What to do with too much calorie deficit?
I had homework to do tonight, so to procrastinate, I joined a friend in a spinning class. I'll do anything to put off homework! :)
Anyway, I wasn't planning on working out, and I probably had 900 - 1000 calories consumed by the time the spinning class started. I normally try to stay around 1700 calories/day.
I came home after the workout (spinning is the toughest workout class EVER by the way!) and CC calculated that I burned around 700 calories! I had no idea it would be that much. So now my calorie deficit is going to be somewhere in the 1300 mark.
It's too late in the day to just shove 1000 calories of food down my throat. What should I do in this situation?
What happens to my body if I stick with my 1700 calories and have such a huge deficit?
In my experience a 1300 calorie deficit is fine. Maybe tomorrow or over the next few days keep it to an 800-900 calorie deficit and you are back at a 1000 cal average daily deficit! So basically spin class just gave you a nice cushion for the weekend, good job!
