im just starting out and a bit confused about this..
i am a vegetarian and tend to eat healthy but sometimes i try to fit a bit of chocolate or sweet dessert into my daily calories, will i still lose if i am fitting this unhealthy food into my diet (not going over my daily limit)?
thanks! xo
Yes a Calorie is a Calorie. However, DO NOT make it a habit of eating high calorie foods.
You will still lose, but make sure you are not going over your daily required amount of fat.
"There are no unhealthy foods, just unhealthy diets".
If 80-90% of your calories come from good quality wholefoods with plenty of nourishment you can afford to eat 10-20% 'fun' foods like chocolate. The only caveat is that the more of the 'fun' foods you use your calories up on, the less satisfying your total diet risks being and the more hungry you will feel. But balance it sensibly, don't stuff yourself with chocolate, and you should be able to enjoy everything in moderation.
And as a counterpoint to the two earlier posts 'high calorie foods' and 'fat' are quite healthy. Just be sensible about the amounts.
