What is the 100 Calorie An Hour Diet?

I have been doing this diet for three weeks. I am consuming 100 calories every waking hour up to 1400 calories a day. I lost 4 pounds the first week and about three the second week. I walk 2-4 miles, briskly, three times weekly and do moderate weight training 2 times a week. I seem to be gaining weight back this week. I am wondering why. I am a 41 year old mom of 4. I started at 165 went to 157ish and now back up to 160. Do I need to change something? I want to get to 135 lbs.
Answer
The 100 Calorie An Hour concept was popularized by the book, Snack Yourself Slim by Richard J. Warburg and Tessa Lorant, and by the sisters, Tammy and Susie Trimble, in their book, The 100 Calorie Diet. Weight loss occurs because calories are limited to 1400 a day. Eating 100 calories an hour might seem appealing at first, but it becomes a burden because you cannot sit down to a meal. The pattern also does nothing to change the habits that lead to overweight in the first place, and so I do not recommend it. Presently, you might be retaining water or you are not aware of other food you are eating. To lose weight, keep a good food diary and stick to 1400 calories a day - eaten in three meals with 1 or 2 snacks as needed.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
