Calorie Intake on Resting Days

Quote  |  Reply

I workout most days pretty moderate to difficult (6 days a week) and then I take a rest day once a week to help my body and muscles recover. On workout days I consume about 1600 - 1700 calories a day. I was just wondering, should I be eating a lower calorie amount on rest days because I'm not burning as much? My rest days are very sedentary and my stats are 21 female, 5"7' and 155-160 lbs. I believe my BMR is around 1550 or so.

Any thoughts of how much I should be eating on my rest days to maintain steady weight loss? Below the BMR? At BMR? Above?

Thoughts are appreciated Smile

any ideas??

If you are trying to max your weight loss then below.  If you are happy with how its going then the same.

I work out 5 times a week and watch calories during the week.  On weekends I travel home and dont watch what I eat or work out.  I am losing weight but I am not breaking any records.  So only you can answer your own question.  How fast do you want to lose the weight?

i've got the same situation and question, so i wana see what people say!!
