1500 Calorie lunch?

Quote  |  Reply

I need a suggestion for lunch!  Kinda hungry now, wasn't this morning and busy with helping daughter do homework so no breakfast, and I ran this morning almost 4 miles.

Any ideas?

Here you go, just have few servings:casserole. It would help if we knew what you you actually had in the pantry. Wink Another option is just get a loaded burrito.

even though you skipped bfast eating 1500 cals in one sitting seems excessive..

Do something with nuts or beans in it, they are pretty high cal.

you definitely don't want to have a huge deficit at the end of the day so have a potato or some broccoli and cheese soup with a hefty sandwich...then you can have an afternoon snack that's higher in calories than usual..like a parfait with tons of granola and nuts...yummy and healthy. you could also have a peanut butter [190 cals for 2 tbsp], banana [100], and honey [1tbsp-about 50 calories] sandwich [2 slices of bread-200 calories]toasted, with a glass of milk [100 calories or so depending on type], and a yogurt [100 calories depending on type]. this would bring your total to around 750--all healthy too. Then you could have a protein bar for about 250 calories--odwalla, luna, and larabars are also really good!!

Ended up getting the soup/sandwich combo at Panera, and a muffin!  All together it was about 1800 cals!  So of course I was still stuffed and only made a smoothie for dinner and didn't even finish it.  Total deficit for the day was 1200 cals.  But today is back to normal and a nice healthy breakfast!
