calorie per meal allowance
This may have been posted somewhere before so if so please just direct me..
I am on a 1200-1300calorie day diet. I was wondering if someone has somekind of calorie per meal allowance. I find myself not eating a lot during the day then at night realizing I still have 600-700 calories left to eat and don't feel like eating that much so miss out.. Any suggestions as to proper meal allowance?
Snack 100 cal
Lunch 350 cal
Snack 100 cal
Dinner 400 cal
Total: 1250

150 (MAX) Snack
300 Lunch
500-600 Dinner
150 (MAX) Snack
Total: 1550
Sometimes I go WAY under these numbers...but these are what I consider safe :) Sometimes I only have a 60 cal yogurt or a nice big 500 calorie egg white/ham wrap for breakfast...it varies :)
I'm at between 1300-1400 cals a day, and here's mine:
Breakfast: 300 cals
Morning snack: 240
Lunch: 200 cals
Afternoon snack: 90 cals
Dinner: 500-600 cals
I also eat the same things every day until dinner, so that i know how much I've had and how much I have left.
Lunch - 300
Dinner - 500
Spare - 150
With the spare calories i tend to have fruit, tea with milk, snacks etc
Sometimes i have more spare calories and i just add with snacks and things
I agree with Angel...I like coming home from work and sitting down to eat a "real" meal. Meat, veggies, and some kind of grain. I also am of the opinion that since the time between dinner and breakfast is the longest, I should eat more at dinner to tide me through...that's my opinion though, and many will disagree. And people are different. If you prefer to eat more in the morning and that works for you, than that's great :)
I'm also not much of a morning person so getting up and making a breakfast that's more calories just isn't realistic for me.
