Calorie Needs-Help?

No matter what I seem to do, I just can't eat enough calories, so that my body won't think that I'm starving myself.

My goal Calorie Intake is 1349, and usually I can't even reach 1000.

Does anyone know any foods that are good for you, but has enough cals. that my body won't think I'm starving myself?

You really need to try to eat at least 1200 Calories a day, at a minimum, anything below that and you're basically starving yourself.  Some great foods that are healthy but higher in Calories are nuts, specifically almonds and walnuts.  But don't eat the regular ones, like Planters, because they are LOADED with salt.  Try to get raw, unsalted.  These are a great snack, are higher in Calories than say an apple and provide your body with healthy fats which will help you feel satisfied.  Also try to get some healthy bars (NOT power bars).  Go to a place like whole foods, or the organic section of your local grocery store and look for bars that don't have a ton of sugar, or high fructose corn syrup added to them.  Don't get bars that have sugar substitutes either, as these are HORRIBLE for you.  Also eat lots of healthy fruits and vegetables every day.  Things like olives (fresh), and avocados are also higher in Calories and healthy fats and will do the same for you as the almonds and walnuts.  Definitely don't eat a bunch of nasty processed foods to get in your daily Calories, you won't be doing your self any favors.  Also try eating healthy proteins, like skinless chicken, eggs, bison/buffalo and fish.
