I am getting 1200 for my calorie target, but seems a little low to me. I weigh 173 and am 5'3". It has been 1200 since I started this diet last October at 208. Why doesn't it change as I loose weight. I thought 1200 was the least I could eat in yet, that seems to be the max for my weight and height. Not sure I understand this?

Are you factoring in your activity for the day?  What is your burn meter at? With all your walking you should at least be 'light' for activity.

I'm 170 and 5'6"...at 'sedentary' my burn meter is at 1760 and CC tells me to eat 1255 cals (505 cal deficit each day = 1 pound per week). At 'light' I should eat 1511, 'moderate' =1767 and 'very active'=2023. All of these calculate to a 500 cal deficit per day (1 pound loss per week)

So...if your activity level is set to 'sedentary', CC gives you the amount of cals you should eat if you are doing no exercise and want to have a 500 cal deficit each day.  If you walk to burn 250 calories every day then you could eat 1450 (1200+250) and still lose the same as if you eat 1200 and sit on your butt all day! Or walk to burn 250, eat 1200 and have a 750 deficit each day to lose about 1.5 pounds a week.

Just remember...the more you exercise, the more you can eat, but, to keep things healthy, keep your daily defecits below 1000 cals.

Yep, I usually leave me burn meter set at sedentary and enter all my activiites for the day. It usually is around 1700-2100.

With me being 173, 5 3 at sedentary my calorie target says 1450 and my burnmeter is at 1660 which is only 200 difference. So I happen to have a day that I don't exercise then I am **** out of luck, so I can't eat that much that day maybe 1100-1200 and burn meter at 1660 gives me about 500 deficit.

I wanted to up my calories so upped it to 1300-1400 and if I go for my walk I burn about 200 calories.  So really can't up my calories in a day unless I know I am going to burn at least 300 more calories than not.

Just wanted to try and speed things up a bit. Takes  a long time to loose a few lbs. Wanted to set my numbers so that I would loose at least 1 lbs. a week consistently, but can't seem to find the right numbers to make that happen.

You calorie target is also influenced by when you want to reach goal weight.  If that date is ambitious, you will always get 1200.  Also, the target is caluclated solely based on being sedentary if that is what you put yourself at.  It doesn't allow for the additional exercise you enter because it doesn't calculate on a day to day basis.  So your burnmeter is showing what you would burn if you did nothing but sit around.  1660 is you doing nothing.  If you walk, you burn 1860.  It is not as bad as you think.  Still, you can't get around needing to exercise if you want to lose quickly.
