10-calorie Vitamin Water.....boo!

Quote  |  Reply

I love the regular Vitamin Water, but don't drink it very often due to the calories and sugar content, so I was super excited when they came out with the 10-calorie version. I tried it yesterday and did not like it at all! It tasted very artificial and watered down. Bummer. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stick with the occasional full-calorie version :)

I didn't like it either, perhaps because I love the regular =0.

Something just tasted really off about it. I don't like diet soda, but I like Crystal Light and those kind of drinks, so I assumed it would be similar. Not so much :(

i thought it was disgusting, i like the high sugar original one haha but i dont drink it anymore since starting to eat healthier :]

I highly suggest the Sobe zero calorie life waters. They come in 3 awesome flavors. Yum berry pomegranate, fuji apple pear and black and blue berry. All AMAZING. Yum bear is the best by far! I've yet to try the new vitamin waters. I'm kinda scred too since I liek the originals so much lol

I like the XXX 10 vitamin water. It tastes close to the original. I tried the lemonade and that was ok but I wouldnt get it again.

i like fuze slenderize.  They have really good flavors:  strawberry melon, tangerine grapefruit, tropical punch, cranberry raspberry, blueberry raspberry, dragonfruit lime and pomegranate acai.

I second the 0 cal sobe lifewater.  Sooo much better

i tried it too, Not good at all! I'll just stick to water

Vitamin Water 10 is such a failure!  I am going to give Life Water and Fuze a try since a lot of people on here seem to like those better.

What's wrong with plain water?

It's boring :)

Plain water tastes like chlorine! I like Vitamin Water but rarely drink it. My beverage of chioce is usually unsweetened ice tea.

the sobe waters are good. plain ice tea is the best. water is also amazing, keep drinking it til your taste buds adjust. it's ridiculous to not like the taste of water. it's an extremely important macronutrient.

I just got over 100 Vitamin Water 10's for FREE!  My sister is a coupon junkie...and let me in on the secret.  I have 5 kids who need hydration...but would rather dring soda or juice than H20..so I thought I would give it a try.  Two out of the five like it.  So 3 out of the 7 of us are drinking it.

Here's my thoughts on the flavors:

xxx acai-bluberry-pomegranate (triple antioxidants) is ok. Kinda watered down taste.

Essential orange-orange (c+calcium) taste like wtered down Tang. Yuck.

multi-v lemonade (a-zinc) Taste like artificially sweetened watered down lemonade, plus it gave me a tummy ache...maybe because I dranjk it on am empty stomach and the Zinc got me.

energy tropical citrus (b+guarana) This is my favorite, taste not so watered down as the others, and is tropical tasting...Plus it has natural caffeine...so it's a nice way to get through the afternoon drowsy time. Yum.  At least try this one...and maybe the xxx.

I couldn't beat the price.

Vitamin water is a great soft drink indeed, but....

What really irritates me is the fact they try to make it look healthy!

Their health claims - on bottles and on the website - are, at least, not responsible.

Any dietary supplements with such claims would be banned by FDA.

What I have found about vitamin water is on a webpage here.

Be well,

Meir

I'm totally confused by the label on the "O cal Lifewater"

It claims zero calories, but reports 6 carbs...  Doesn't 1 carb=4 kcal?

At first I thought maybe the carbs were "fiber" from the Erythritol used to sweeten it and therefore were not necessary to count, but the bottles I checked reported zero fiber as well...

I know there are varied regulations about reporting negligible amounts of things on nutrition labels and there's not a whole lot of difference between zero cal and 24 cal in the long run, just annoyed by mathmatically impossible nutrition labels...

Would appreciate any insight into the mystery, just for fun's sake :-P
