how many calories do YOU have for breakfast?

i have 500. its amazing. it seems like every time i have a small breakfast i binge throughout the day, but when i have a big one- i dont feel the need! i didnt buy into the whole BIG b-fast thing, but one ay, i was like heck, ill give it a shot!

i'm never going back to below 500. i can say that for sure!

 

 

 

so, how many cals do you have? i thought it'd be interesting to know.

Between 300 & 400.  I do have a mid morning snack of at least 150, so my morning calorie count is between 450 and 550 (about 1/3 of my goal of 1500 max per day).

Varies b/w 150 and 300 during the week, 400 on Saturday's before my 11am spinning class and up to 600 on Sunday (french toast, pancakes or waffles - naughty!)

During the week, I try to stay below 800 before leaving work at 5pm. I am eating 1600 daily right now.

usually between 450-750, depends on if Im scheduled to work or not. More on work days so I can stay full till lunch snack.

300- only because my lunch is usually only 3 hours after

not many. i usually have a grapefruit or orange. i really like citrus fruit in the morning. and about 3-5 cups of coffee. :| it's really terrible. i've never really been a breakfast eater. but i do eat a bigger breakfast saturday mornings because i usually have about 6 hrs at the ballet studio those days. then it's usually around 300.

Im not sure...one day a week I go out to breakfast and thats a high calorie day, but I've never recorded it, so i dont know. I usually have a really light, if any, lunch that day though.

On a normal day...I eat at around 8am and I'll eat about 130 calories (cereal or oatmeal, maybe an egg) plus the 60-70 calories of sugar and cream in my coffee...So we're up around 200 now...then around 9 or 10 I'm hungry again, and i usually munch on cheerios or sometimes a banana or something so...I guess about 250-300.

I'm also at around 500, give or take 50.  It lasts me till lunch.  I love my brekkie.

My breakfast, including my latte, comes to about 285 calories.  I have a mid-morning snack that usually brings me up to 425.  I didn't eat breakfast at all before I started calorie counting, so I've had to work myself up to eating this much.  My stomach still doesn't really appreciate food early in the morning, but I definitely have more energy.

Weekdays: 300-500
Weekends:  much more, as we have a big breakfast/brunch type meal most Saturdays and Sundays around 10, skip lunch, a small snack in the afternoon, and dinner.  My breakfast today (Huevos Rancheros, toast, fresh fruit and coffee) was about 750.

to you guys who have the big meals: do you find that it helps you from overeating later?

600 calories.

I don't think it prevents me from overeating because I have to force feed myself nowadays anyway :(

Don't let it scare you. I eat close to that amount 6 times a day. I doubt you do lol

 thank goodness. i though that it was your BIGGEST meal. ahaha

does this look like a healthy meal:

Breakfast like a Queen KING- whole wheat lavash (a tortilla/pita bread hybrid) with beans, tomatoes, onions, chilis,with fat-free american cheese. shredded wheat, a cup of milk, &strawberries.

I heard that you are supposed to eat AT LEAST (i repeat AT LEAST!) 300 calories. I heard that if you eat AT LEAST 300 calories then you are supposed to loose weight because it's supposed t make you fuller so you don't eat as much during the day. 

so how many do you eat? i bumped mine up tp 600.

Depends on what I'm doing.  Today I ate 500 because I worked out this morning (including swimming).  I was still hungry after working out, though.  I'm always ravenously hungry in the morning, so I eat at least 300.  I prefer a big breakfast so I'm not tired and cranky all day.

Don't worry, peacelovehominey.  I eat around 600 as well, and I am a 5' 2" female.  I am just really active so it's ok.  I love breakfast, I go to bed looking forward to it every night.  It totally gets me fueled for the day.

I eat maybe 500. Breakfast is my biggest meal!

Breakfast for me is 420 calories (about 38g fiber).
