i have 500. its amazing. it seems like every time i have a small breakfast i binge throughout the day, but when i have a big one- i dont feel the need! i didnt buy into the whole BIG b-fast thing, but one ay, i was like heck, ill give it a shot!

i'm never going back to below 500. i can say that for sure!

so, how many cals do you have? i thought it'd be interesting to know.

Original Post by mollymouser:

Breakfast for me is 420 calories (about 38g fiber).

holy molly! (haha i just added an extra 'l'

what do you have??? im a fiber FANTATIC/ PSYCHO!

I have between 100 and 200.  Partly because I've just started eating it again, partly because breakfast foods tend to fill me up quickly so I can't eat that much anyway and partly because my mum has a habit of randomly serving a really high cal dinner without notice so I need to be prepared.  I may start eating a little more at breakfast once I go back to college though.

lol..once in a while,i woke up grumpy and couldnt control my appetite,i will often eat more than 2000 cals just for BREAKFAST..then i feel so terrible and started hitting my stomach till it ache..

I am a 71 yr. old male who has lost 65 pounds since last March, being involved in a VA program called MOVE. My BMI is now 24 and have been maintaining my weight goal since November 2007. My breakfast routine is oatmeal with Skim Plus and sometimes a piece of fruit. Today my calorie count was 247 for breakfast. I have lunch around 11 AM and do have 2-3 healthy snacks during the day. Exercise is an important component for me (walking 3 miles/day). I count daily calories RELIGIOUSLY and weigh-in at that VA weekly. Half of my calories are usually consumed at dinner because this is the most troublesome meal for me to control.

I wish you all success.

I LOVE breakfast!! I eat anywhere from 400-700 cals

If I dont eat breakfast I feel sick, I find when I eat a big breakfast I have more energy throughout the day as well
smaller during the week, larger amounts on weekends.

Never used to be able to eat breakfast till I started following the advice here, which works for me.  Probably 200 cal with midmorning snack of 150.

BUT, sometimes I am just plain hungry all morning so go ahead and consume most of my calories mid-morning thru mid-afternoon, at which time I find appetiate gone and just have fruit for dinner.
"once in a while,i woke up grumpy and couldnt control my appetite,i will often eat more than 2000 cals just for BREAKFAST..then i feel so terrible and started hitting my stomach till it ache.."

weightconsious, self-abuse is not the answer to overeating.  You have a body mass index of 21% already and your ticker says you're looking to get to 19%.  I suspect you probably regularly under eat and you probably wake up grumpy at times because you need food.  Don't punish yourself or your body for giving it what it needs.

I love breakfast..it is the only meal of the day that I feel like I can eat whatever I want because I have all day to work it off...but I still only eat healthy food like whole grain cereal, lowfat mik, fruit, sometimes oj when I need an energy boost.  I prob eat like 300-400 cals but i dont eat lunch till about 1:30/2 pm so it lasts me awhile.

I eat a bowl of the Weight Control Oatmeal, which is 160 calories.  It stays with me for a few hours and then when I get hungry again I eat a protein bar (about 180 calories) to hold me over until I eat a light lunch.

I have a 300 calorie breakfast

70-it's one Activia light....seems to hold me over till about11:00 and then I have a Special K Snack bar 90 calories.  Lunch about 1:00 is usually 250-300 and then the rest is evening time, which is my down fall. works well for me even though it's probably not "right".

I've actually just started eating less calories for breakfast.  I never have time in the morning, so I stop at Dunkins once  I get to school.  I was eating a bagel and an ice coffee with cream and sugar which ended up being around 500 cals.  Since, I need my coffee in the morning, I decided to try cutting down on the sugar and using skim milk.  It's an acquired taste for sure, but now I can drink it.  For the food, now I get an egg on a english muffin, with bacon for some flavor and no cheese.  Total cals is about 300 and I feel good until lunch.

200-300.

300 cals usually.  If I eat more than that I am RAVENOUS the rest of the day.

Mine always fluctuates. Depends on how I ate the day before, or my mood.

But its between 100 (thats when I normally have just a yogurt) and 600 (thats when I want a big breakfast to last me till lunch). My 600 calroie breakfast days are only when I eat Tuna salad (tuna, onions, LOTS OF MAYO) with yellow grits (not too much calories...what? maybe 150-200 cals- but I think the people I buy it from add butter)

If I dont eat the yogurt or tuna salad combo, Ill eat yogurt and almonds and coffee- which brings me too 300 cals.

Yep, it fluctuates quite a lot.

I think it really depends on what I eat. Today I had about 300 calories because I ate steamed vegetable dumplings from last night. They filled me up big-time.

Other days, depending on what I have in the house, I'll eat like a romaine/spring mix salad with a can of drained tuna dumped on top and my patented easy-to-make tomato and cucumber balsamic relish. I always keep jarred roasted red peppers in the house to put on my salads too... I really do like salad for breakfast, and I don't know why.

I don't really enjoy traditional breakfasty food unless I'm in a really certain mood, and even then it's an occasional thing. Unless we're talking Pork Roll and scrambled eggs, however methinks Pork Roll is not conducive to losing weight LOL.

350.  My breakfast is usually golean oatmeal with raisins, almonds, and barney butter on top.

around 250-450 cals.

it depends on my mood, and what's available.

my fave would be rolled oats and mashed banana, freezed overnight. so it looks and tastes like ice cream in the morning... (300 cals)

or any soup mixes w/ rolled oats... i like oatmeal in the morning..

and bfast is my biggest meal.

all that bein said, what do you have?

About 300... enough to hold me till lunchtime without the need for a snack but not enough to make me stuffed. I'm not terribly hungry in the morning so I'm satisfied with a bowl of cereal and low-fat milk.
