calories burned question....
do I deduct the calories burned during evercise? say I eat 2,000 calories and burned 300 during exercise do I subtract that? is that how it works?Thank you!
Are you trying to loose or maintain? No matter how you go about it, all you have to do is create a 1000 calorie deficit per day to lose 2 pounds a week. Just make sure you don't eat less than 1200 calories a day.
Ex: 2000 calories burn a day - 1500 calories eaten = -500 calories.
-500 calories * 7 days = 3,500 less I lost 1Lb.
Hope this helps
how about with a calorie deficit from exercise do I subtract the calories I burn during exercise?
You add them to your burn for the day (so 2300 in this case), and this is the total amount of calories you have burned throughout the day. Then you determine how much to eat from that (e.g. you would eat 1800 for a 500 calorie deficit, if that's what you want to do). Eating 2300 would maintain your weight.
Thank you I thought so but was not certain!
