Hi everyone. I took my first Spin class today, and the activity counter on this website shows that I burned approx. 1,152 calories for one hour of vigorous activity. Another website shows approx. 1,500 for high intensity, and approx. 1,200 for moderate intensity. It was also based on my current weight (244 lbs.) Is it possible that I burned over 1,000 calories in 1 hour of Spin class? If so, I'm definately going back next week (sore behind and all)! If it helps, our instructor believes in the "no-recovery" method, so we worked hard the entire time.
Thanks.
Ursula
haha well i'll tell youthat in every spin class you are going to be workign hard the entire time. you recover after class, not during it. but spin is notorious for burning tons of cals. so 1000 cals sounds possible, but i woul destimate a little lower. cc tells me i burn about 700 cals in 45 minutes of spin but i estimatei t to be a little lower just to be safe.
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
