How many calories should I eat to lose weight while breastfeeding?

My children are 6, 5, 2, and 4 months old. I have been pregnant or nursing for 7 years now and now weigh 197 lbs. I want to loose this extra weight I have acquired over the years; however I don't want it to effect my milk production. That has been a fear of mine since I don't want her to have formula. My plan is to breastfeed her until she is one in September. I am walking and taking aerobics classes. I haven't changed my eating but know I need to.
Breastfeeding women should consume at least 1500 to 1800 calories a day to avoid excessive weight loss and to get the nutrients that mother and baby need. You, personally, should eat 1800 calories per day because that’s the amount you need to maintain your “ideal weight” (in the 130s). Any extra calories you need can be drawn from your stored fat. In addition, make sure your baby is growing well and you are not excessively hungry, and do not lose more than one pound per week.
