calories eaten. calories burned, BMR and RMR?

Some background. I am 27 (female) almost 28 in a few weeks. I am 5'1'' and 3/4's. Right now  Iweigh 126. I  take a brisk walk 5 days a week and I use a workout dvd for strenth training 5 days a week as well, alternating lower and upper body. I try to eat 1200 calories and no more but most days I go over that. I am trying to be honest with myself about why I cant loose. Okay so I used Phords caculator and it tells me to eat 1255 calores thats my BMR and my RMR was 15something. Most days I am eating either at or over my RMR that is the reason I am not losing? I do not do very hard aerobic exercise either. I truly want to loose 10-15 pounds and now I am thinking I am just going about it all wrong. I could really use some advice. Should I keep track of my daily deficit too? If so what kind of deficit should I use and should I keep the same deficit every day?

I calculate that your total energy needs are around 1900 a day.  For steady weight-loss, therefore, you could technically go with 1400-1500 a day.  I think 1200 cals sounds rather low and could be making things harder than they might be.  Call it starvation mode if you like.  A day at 1900 cals could give you metabolism a little boost and then dropping to 1400-1500 could get the ball rolling again.  Change your food choices around from what they have been.... new recipes and new foods can also help get you out of a rut. 

The other suggestion I have is that this weekend you find a long-lasting activity that you can do... Something like a 10 mile walk, a round of golf or a bicycle ride for the afternoon.  Something that takes you several hours of steady physical effort.   That's a really good way to get the body burning fat and it lasts a lot longer than a workout DVD.

Whatever you do, because you're already a healthy weight, any progress is going to be mind-numbingly slow.  Good luck

What sucks is I gained it all so easily. I was 118 back in April. Then from April to August I gained about 10 pounds. So in 4 months I went up 10 pounds.Do you really think it will take 4 months to loose it too?

I'd actually think more in terms of 8 months unless you suddenly started doing huge amounts of physical exercise.

If you feel satisfied eating 1200 a day, I wouldn't consume 1900 or whatever if you'r enot hungry.  If you're not hungry, then I highly doubt you're body is starving.  I'm 5'2 and 25 years old.  The fact of life is that we are short and smaller than your average person.  So that means we just can't eat as much food as other people.  I usually eat around 1200-1300 cals a day.  I usually do about 2-4 days of exercise.  But my exercise is high intensity cardio and weight lifting.  The more muscle mass you gain, the more cals. you can eat.  But the majority of my weight loss was from cutting cals from 1600 to 1200.  That meant I was cutting back on some carbs and eating a LOT more protein to keep myself full.  It took about 2 weeks for things to kick in, and after that it just kept coming off.  I think I'm now at a plateau because I can't get rid of the last 5 pounds.  Could be thepumpkin pie :P  I'm not sure.... haha.

If you want to get it off faster, you need more vigorous exercise.  Brisk walking is great, but getting your heart rate up in the cardio zone burns more calories, and you also will have the afterburn effect of keeping your metabolim up long after your workout.
