Heres an idea, choose someone you can really trust.

Tell them about your problem. Make a meal plan for even three days. Make a plan of other things you are going to do also, like go shopping (clothes shopping), go to the library, go for a walk. So you have at least three days planned out exactly what you are going to do, which leaves no room for binging. You could then write down all the pro's and con's that come with bingeing and not binging and use this to motivate you. But I think you need to not be alone right now.

You still need to eat though! Try having foods that will maintain your blood sugars and wont leave you craving-i know this sounds like it wouldnt work, bu trust me-it does. Wholegrain bread, Porridge/oatmeal, potatoes, pasta, protein, and milk (works for me!), will keep you fuller and more importantly-satisfied!

Hope this helps

Binge is a serious problem. But you have to believe in your will power and nothing helps more ( at least it helps me ) is not having high calories surrounding me.

Take each day as it comes and do what the other poster have told you, keep active and plan your meals in advance.

Good luck!

Um this is the weight GAIN forum. Here, a minimum for women is 2500, males 3000. The original poster is recovering from an eating disorder, which quite often leads to increased caloric needs. 3500 is actually a normal amount for someone recovering from an ED to need to get to a healthy weight.

Breathes - You have been given advice on this topic a hundred times already. I think you really, really need to talk to both your family and a professional (therapist) about your issues with this all/nothing mentality you seem to have. In the mean time - stick. to your plan. Have someone eat with you for every meal and snack - even if they are just sitting there next to you. Having some supervision and some company might help you keep control of yourself.

Don't worry about the calories you've already eaten. Don't try to burn them off. Don't think about them. Yesterday is done and over with. Just try to stick to your plan today, and every other day, so you won't have this guilt or panic in the future.

And please stop asking about your metabolism. I sincerely doubt that a few days of binging has done anything significant to it. Your body needs a steady caloric intake for your metabolism to restore itself, just like every other bodily function.

I agree with rebel.  Bingeing is quite common for recovering anorexics.  I think it's something like 60% of anorexics binge or become bulimic.  Do you know the #1 cause of bingeing?  Undereating/starvation.  So, what you need to focus on is following your meal plan if you have one, or eating a healthy amount for YOUR body.  This could be between 2500-5000 calories to gain weight at a healthy rate (1-4 pounds a week).  Make sure you don't skimp on any macronutrient.  Get plenty of healthy fats, grains, fiber, fluids and protein.  If you live with someone, tell them and ask for support before you binge.  The absolute worst thing you could do is restrict after you binge, as this will of course lead to another binge.
