should I be eating if I :
run 15 miles a week (1 to 2 of these days I incorporate HIIT)
Biggest Loser Power Sculpt or Advanced Squeeze video 2 times a week
Biggest Loser Yoga or Reach Yoga 2 times a week
I am 28, 100 lbs, 5'1.5" I am a stay-at-home mom, some days we don't do much, others I am vacuuming, cleaning up, running errands, playing outside etc. I am a college student as well, but sit at my desk a lot to study. I haven't been getting enough sleep (thanks to classes) and I have been eating about 1200 to 1300 calories a day. The scale has gone up to 102 then down to 100 then back up this week....
Okay...some of you know that I had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago...still no period and I am gaining weight...just wanted to get everyone's opinion...(plus I never get replies in the other forums)eating 1200-1300 calories, that's a weight loss diet. ARe you aware that you're already underweight as it is? You should be eating a diet that is more suitable for gaining if anything.
You are DEFINITELY not eating enough to sustain your level of activity.
you burn about 2000 calories, at highly active...which is from phord.com/cc
So, I would say that 1800 calories should be the minimum intake for you.
Sorry to hear about your miscarriage and I hope you recover both physically and emotionally!!
Thanks chrissy1988....for that link. Do you think I am moderate or very active? I know I am not extra active. I don't necessarily want to lose as much as I want to tone and get rid of some of this sudden belly fat and start of love handles. I used to look like you (looked at your pics). I just feel so flabby.....
I thought if I consumed about 1200-1300 cals I could still stay at the leve without "starvation" but cut some of this flab too...
Lunger, I don't think you're eating enough to be honest. 1200-1300 calories a day is the minimum recommendation for a sedentary female. I would venture to guess that you should have your activity level set at Very Active. Despite sitting at a desk, it sounds as if you remain highly active between formal exercise and housework. Have you tried using the tools on this site to help you determine a calorie goal? (I didn't mean that to sound snarky-some people don't realize Calorie Count has tools to help calculate BMI and calorie goals). If not, I'd suggest setting your activity level to very active (or changing it to very active if you already had it set to something else) and then see what the site recommends. Hope that helps!
HUN!!! Your burning sooo many caloires, you should eat more than that- I'm not a doctor and i don't know how much your burning exactly and how much you should eat but your on the ighes tlevel of activity and on maintenence. You can probably eat a lot more, because even though your eating 1200 cals you have a lot les sin your body b/c your burning so much. "your already VErY thin so you don't want to lsoe any more weight. EAT MORE-check how much here on CC please.
I know this sounds bad, but I don't "feel" thin. I do have thyroid issues and I swear when I step on that scale it is a pound heavier every morning. I am now 103.5. I don't get it! I have slowed down on the exercise this week and started consuming around 1500 calories a day.
I am so tired all the time and just feel out of it. I haven't had my period yet and this Friday will be 8 weeks since the MC.
Lunger-
I know how you feel. I am having a huge plataeu and i have 19 pounds to lose! I was looking at celebrity before and afters and most of the befores is what my after i wll be. Very depressing.
