2500 calories?
Hi I'm in recovery for anorexia but the meal plan I have is only 2000 calories. This worries me because I don't want to be gaining weight on this amount for ever but obviously I shouldn't really cut down from that much even when I do reach a healthy weight. Is this just a case of a difference of opinion between professionals?
this is just a starting point particuarly if youve been restricting alot you may be at risk of going in refeeding syndrome. you will need to increase this ,try not to worry. but talk to your theapist tell her your worries she will be able to reassure you and explain the reasons h x
if you've been eating 2000 calories for a few days at least I highly doubt that any professional would discourage you from eating more. so if you'd like to gain on more then that's fantastic. i say go for it!!
i shoot for 3000/3500 a day and i started at 2500 rite off the bat hunny your doing a great thing here so whatever feels right for you but it would be suggested to go 2500+ x
ha i wouldn't say that i'm exactly keen to eat 2500 atm but i was just wondering what people thought cos it seems to be made very clear on these forums that 2500 should be the absolute minimum. thanks for the replies though :)
