I ate too many calories today...1777 and my max calories to eat to lose one pound a week is 1699. Should I feel bad? This is the first time I"ve ever went over and it's only 78 calories over. I walked 3 miles today and burned 357 calories, I'm also going to do 20 mins of pilates and 30 mins of dance cardio.

have I stalled my diet or is it normal to eat over everyonce in a while this is my third week.

thats completely normal. it's one day, and its only 78 calories. it's not a deal breaker :]
I've got the munchies and I want to eat more...yogurt(170 calories) I even find myself craving slimfast drinks...I cant help it I like sweet things(220 calories)

I knew I shouldnt have brought those slim jims, they are my weakness. I brought the can and they I had 9 of them today. 4 is one serving(170 calories)
78 calories over is no big deal. Shoot for 78 calories less tomorrow or do 78 calories of extra exercise today. If you were 700 calories over, then you should worry...

But you might worry about eating food that makes you feel guilty and shamreful. If they make you feel bad, then they hurt more than your weight, don't they?

When I decided to start losing weight (again) I gave away or tossed all the junk food in the house and made a solid effort not to buy any more. I've cut my cookie consumption from several a day to 4 for the month. Good for me!

Instead of eating when I have the muchies, I have a glass of water. I'm still amazed at how I confuse thirst and hunger. 80% of the time, the water satisfies me. The other 20% of the time, I realise I need food, too, and snack on something guilt-free and nutritious. Fruit is so sweet when you stop eating cookies!


Don't sweat it! You are probably starving from all the physical activity you did!  You are still conscious of what and how much you are eating - that is the key to getting rid of the extra pounds.

thanks, I'll try drinking water, what about Tea? i think the only problem is that I dont have any honey and all I have is sugar to make it sweet.

Honey is 60 cals/serving whereas sugar is 16.  Honey is better for you, but squeezed lemon is better.  Don't worry about the extra cals for the day.  78 over is nothing...I actually consider that within the range of what you should be eating...because some days it may be 78 under and will all balance out.  Also, there's a lot of info about jump starting your metabolism with more cals for a day, but I don't know much about that.  I hope you have a peaceful evening...
