I can't keep with my diet i use to but now im just over eatting today I had about 1,067 calories and I just feel so bad. How do I keep my mind off eatting?

okay, so that's not what you want to hear if I'm not mistaken. fact is, you're still under the calories your body needs to run its basic functions.
How many calories are you trying to cut down. 1067 is very little, you will be very hungry and binge. It's ok to eat 1200 to 1500 cal a day especially if you work out.

I don't work out but I dance and move around alot and i'm trying to burn calories real fast
Never go below 1200 calories if you are a female, because your body will go into starvation mode and it is possible that you might gain weight, besides doing serious damage to your body. (1500 if you are male.) As a female, your body and organs needs a minimum of 1200 calories just to function.

-The heart needs 12% of the calories (144 cals)
-The kidney needs 12% of the calories (144 cals)
-The Liver needs 23% of the calories (276 cals)
-The brain needs 23% of the calories (276 cals)
-The skeletal muscle needs 30% of the calories (360 cals)

You eat 500 calories a day? Do you have any idea how dangerous that is? I eat about 1800 calories a day, and THAT'S when I'm trying to lose weight. You've gotta eat more. If you really are anorexic... seek professional help.
Hey, no I'm not meany to sound  preachy or blunt or anything. Buut I'm hoping 500 calories is not your goal to be eating, because unless you weigh 50lbs that is too little to try to eat on a daily basis. 1067 calories is still pushing it, it's too little and no matter how badly you want to be thin you are only slowly killing yourself. And trust me it's not a pretty way to go. Honestly if you want to be able to keep dancing and moving around you need to eat more. And trust me, if you eat more (if your metabolism is in order/once your metabolism gets back in order) you will not gain weight, you will lose it. Your body needs calories to survive. I'm not necassarly saying you are anorexic but you at a minimum have anorexic tendencies... you should seriously consider seeing a doctor (that's not meant to be a bad thing at all) But if you continue to eat like this, or try to, these are something things you can look "foward" to..:

  1. slowing down your metabolism
  2. your body storing anything you eat and eating lean muscle and eventually your organs
  3. if you're a female you risk ceasing your period, and risk losing the ability to have children
  4. slowing your heart rate, and risk heart failure
  5. lowering your blood pressure
  6. dizzyness and fainting
  7. brain damage
  8. hair loss
  9. brittle nails
  10. sensitivity to the cold
  11. fine hair growing all over your body in an attempt to keep warm
  12. yellow skin
  13. Mild anemia
  14. swollen joints
  15. brittle bones
  16. poor concentration
  17. dehydration
  18. bloating
  19. decrease in white blood cells
  20. death
What you're doing is a serious matter, please be healthy.

Yes 500 calories a day is insane.

My target is 1550 and because I am not that active (I work from home doing computer work) I can sometimes get away with 700 or 800 and not feel hungry but average 1300-1600 most of the time and I've lost 42.5 lbs

Dont kill yourself and dont rush it, it works just give it time you crazy chick

But im not becoming bulimic or anorexic yes i may be close to it but still it takes to long with that 1-2 pounds a week thing
cosmowhore- you're right you're not becoming anorexic, you're already doing what a person suffering from anorexia does... if you continue the way you are you will never be satisfied because you will not lose fat you will lose your muscle so you'll always think you need to lose more weight. Please stop now, you're playing with fire, and no one here can support what you're doing. You are killing yourself... :_(

Okay I going to stop this "starvation diet" after I loose like 2 more pounds and im completely satified and what not but my mom said that the diet was okay but my aunt said that im only 14 n  I shouldnt even be caring about my weight cause im still growing so im going to loose 2 more pounds and then stop
time out, you're only 14?? I say "only 14" because eating so few calories can also stunt your growth... :\ (I'm 17 so it's not like I don't know where you're coming from)... but that really is sad... please, but what you're doing isn't a "diet", and to eat so little then try to eat normally you will only gain weight because you've thrown off your metabolism. How long have you been eating like this?

Okay last year I started dieting and like in may I started skipping breakfast and I started my 500 calorie diet on sunday but i know alot of people younger then me who diet worser then me so im okay
cosmowhore- "i know alot of people younger then me who diet worser then me" that is really sad :(... but just because people are "dieting" worse than you doesn't mean that you, or them, are okay... if you continue the way you are I guarantee by the time you're my age you will be full out anorexic, no question. Please, please, please, take care of your body, being thin isn't worth your life :(

your 14?  500 calories a day?  no wonder my god

how could you have packed on enough pounds to worry about drastic solutions

you have all the time in the world and yet you want to lose 2 pounds in a couple days you are being totally silly

1-2 lbs a week.  try to stick to that.  more important (and also more beneficial) is to change your lifestyle and diet so you dont gain it back.

its good you are watching your weight at your age god knows so many people in your generation dont; but if you are trying to lose 15 lbs so you can pick up that boy or whatever you have got to understand ...

easy come easy go, easy go easy come back

remember that.  if you lose 50 lbs in the next 3 days you're likely to gain it all back in 3 days.  if you lose 50 lbs in 3 months, you're likely to stay that way.
Educate yourself.
Go visit a doctor and start taking care of yourself, you're way too young to be even thinking about doing this.
You want to die ? Stop while you still can.
Don't say oh I'm only going to lose 2 more pounds and then I'll stop, trust me it doesn't work like that.
It will only get worse, anorexia is a monster.

I believe you are still not eating enough and a great strategy for weight loss is to eat six meals a day, eat high fiber foods, and drink plenty of water. Besides that keep you eating clean and if you want further help please give your weight, age, and activity level so I can estimate how much you need to eat.

like this girl, I fought the anorexia monster, although my main foe was the bulimia monster. I was lucky-I beat it before I did serious damage to myself. I have friends that weren't so lucky.

Ok first off, youre 14, why the heck did you give yourself a degrading name like cosmowhore? How about you try for a more positive name? Somthing that speaks volumes about yourself, with out sounding so negative? You can request it to be changed, go to the calorie count suggestions forum and post about it there, Eric will help you out, if you decide to change it.  Second, and because you are 14 you will love this, YOUR MOM IS WRONG! Its not ok. Check out the link ix sent you, and i strongly recomend checking out the pics she has linked up. They are alarming. Also for even more info, head over to www.somthingfishy.org. If your mother thinks your diet is ok, talk to her, show her the info you have found here, and everywhere eles, and ask if she will take you to a doctor so he can set you up to lose weight under his care. That way you can be sure you are being safe.
    Cosmo, I know it is tempting to do it this way. But the fact is that there are only two results from this type of diet: you gain it back, or you die.  Your only option for keeping weight off is to eat healthy  amounts of the proper foods.
