I weigh 113 and i'm 5'4. I want to maintain..i eat around 700 to 900 calories a day. Gaining weight terrifies me. I'm always worried about getting fat. How many calories do i need to eat to maintain i'm losing right now.
How old are you and are you male or female?
700-900 calories per day is NOT enough. It sounds like you may be developing an eating disorder. Don't be afraid to eat more. Please talk to a doctor or parent or friend or someone you trust about your fears and body image.
An average woman needs 2,000 calories per day to MAINTAIN, and if you want to gain, especially after restricting so much, you will probably need at least 2,500, maybe more depending on your age and other factors.
I am no expert, but I am recovering from anorexia and I used to eat that amount per day or less and I am 5'6" and got to below 93 pounds and I don't want the same thing to happen to you. 113 is low, but this CAN be fixed if you put your heart and mind to it.
But please, seek medical or professional help. Try to slowly eat more and more. And trust me, you will NOT get fat!!! Our bodies have set-point weights and your body will fight to keep you in a healthy range.
