173 calories left for the day. What should I eat?
I'm not very hungry but probably will be in the next few hours. It's 5:33 pm and I won't go to bed until around 10pm and will probably get hungry before then. I am low on protein and veggies. Any suggestions staying within 173 or 200 calories?
Thanks in advance.

a slice of toast with a tablespoon of peanutbutter:)
How about edaname and a small PB sandwich?
I'm worried about the fat in the peanut butter even though I use reduced fat because I've gone way over my fat intake for the day. But it would be filling and satisfying. :) Thanks
nycgirl...
sorry I guess I posted in the wrong place. Thanks for moving it over. I don't have any edames and don't like them but I do have some cauliflower., Hmmmm the peanut butter 1/2 sandwich thingy is sounding good. Thanks!
try eating yogurt with cereal in it like fiber one honey clusters. it is filling and may sound gross but it is actually good!
This is a little late, but maybe you could do this next time...Broccoli has protein and low cal + get veggies in (could steam it and sprinkle a bit of red wine vinegar and garlic salt) with a glass of skim milk. A spinach salad would be good too (raw spinach leaves, cucumber, carrots, serving of tuna or low-fat cottage cheese on top).
I didn't know broccoli had protein. Wow thanks :)
Broccoli , Baked Potato.. o_O
That's what I ended up having last night a baked potato with 1 oz of light cream cheese and 1C steamed cauliflower mixed in it and some tabasco on top and some Soy milk. That all came to around 450 cals and was good and got my protein in without alot of fat. :)
Broccoli has almost 3 gm protein per cup, also would get your vitamin C and some iron in too...it really is a great food and only has 30 calories per serving to boot! I try to eat some every day.
Thanks leiann!
