i just got back to univeristy, so far i've been doing super well with exercising everyday and eating my maintenance calories only (i'm at maintenance so it's okay!) but tonight we are having a few drinks at my apartment (i'm going to do vodka and diet coke) that'll add up to 130 calories, but then we are going to this bar for MARTINI MONDAY! I'm only going to have 1 martini (maybe), but i can't find the nutrtionals on martinis... one website said 800 and another said 160... does anybody know the nutritional details on martinis?? or a type of low cal martini i could order?? thanks!

It depends on what kind of martini. If you are just going to have stright up gin or vodka, dry, then just log it in as either of those, although double the serving size since generally martinis are 3 oz or more (a regular shot is usually 1&1/2oz). If you're going to get a fancy, foo-foo martini--like an apple-tini or a cosmopolitan or anything with an unatural color, you'll have to account for the sugar, which can add up.
so just order a dry martini then and i should be okay?? i try to avoid sugary drinks as much as possible anyways...
Yeah, you should be fine. It's just straight gin or vodka, both of which are very low in clas. And even if you have a splash of vermouth, it shouldn't add many cals (I think vermouth's relatively low in cals, although you might want to check on that).

One thing tho: be careful of some (but not all) of the flavored vodkas. Sometimes when they add flavoring to the vodka, they add cals and more sugar as well. Best to get a high quality, top shelf, non-flavored vodka or gin if you really want to keep your drink clean and low-cal.

Have fun!! I LOVE martinis!
thanks so much!
