Heya, theres a calculator on the site if you go on tools and then click on expenditure

it is designed for adults though like over 18 or maybe even like over 21 really i've noted there are differing opinions to when its appropriate.
How many calories are you consuming right now?
I can find you a link to a teen calorie site.  It would give you a more accurate reading then c-c, which is adjusted for adults.

i used to eat 300 a day, then i gradually increased up to 2000, then i dropped to 1500 and i've binged everyday since i dropped. :(

like tonight, fruit, 4 tbsp pb, 6 tbsp nutella, 2 bowls of mini wheats, 2 pb sandwiches. :(

i feel SO disgusting.

This is a great site and it is for teens.

Your body needs fuel, you have to look at food as energy.
What did you eat for the rest of the day?
If you can eat 2000 calories a day and not binge, why not stay with the 2000 calories?

The recommended daily caloric intake for active teenage girls is 2200.  Sans infancy, this is the most crucial developmental stage of your life.

Do not cheat your future self out of a healthy existence by not getting enough of what your body needs today; including vitamins and minerals.  I say this because there is an ever growing problem with teenage girls not getting enough calcium and iron in their diet.

I know it's difficult but try to think of what's real, not how you feel.  There is no reason to feel disgusting about taking care of yourself and giving your body the fuel it needs.

As a side note, the recommended intake for active teenage boys is between 2500 and 3000 calories per day.  Imagine trying to eat that much per day!

Eat well, eat enough.

hey erica- ok, so the binging is your body's way of telling you that you must eat more, 1500 is in NO way enough with all of that physical activity. if you were totally sedentary, it would probably be enough, but not with alllll that activity! so i would say about 2200 or 2300 per day, which will probably stop your body from making you binge.  Keep in mind that you're still growing and developing, which requires a lot more calories than an adult would.
