Over the past three days, ONTOP of my normal meals and snacks.
It adds up to 2175 cals a day when I added up all 3 days plus pb and divided by three...
I had no idea.... None. I thought my estimations were pretty right. But no. I underestimated by more than 2000!
I cannot eat peanut butter... I WILL not do it anymore. THAT'S WHY I'VE GAINED WEIGHT. Everything else besides the pb was perfect. Flawless. I'm throwing it out right now.

Oh my goodness how much peanut butter did you eat????
PEANUT BUTTER IS EVIL!
i threw it all out a few months ago. HONEY is evil too, am currently trying to kick that habit as well.
Good luck xoxo

Just like everything else that you consume, moderation is the key. Peanut butter is not evil. I find that if I have one slice of toast in the a.m. with a tablespoon of peanut butter, it helps curb my hunger and keeps me satisfied throughout the morning.
Too much of anything is bad for you.

A slice of Healthy Life 100% Whole Wheat toast (2 gms fiber) with a tablespoon of Naturally More peanut butter (not hydrogenated, has flaxseeds, 2 gms fiber) is my breakfast staple before hitting the gym Monday through Friday. As donamuller said, everything in moderation.
I eat peanut butter, 1 tbsp on 1 slice of 100% whole wheat bread.
but, if you binge on it, then by all means, get rid of it. no food is so perfectly nutritious that we can't substitute other foods for it and be just as well off.

moderation is the answer, but i know how hard it is to say no to the pb!
It was almost the whole jar. And I know no food is evil, but I'm saying that the reason I can;t have it is because if it's in the house, I CANNOT eat it in moderation. I binge on it every singkle time. Not once haven't I.
So for me.. It's something that I can't even have in moderation.
Oh and it's funny cause it's only this one kind. NO Other pb. In fact I HATE any other pb than this kind: Maranatha Organic Peanut Honey Spread.
It's pb mix w/ honey and the best thing ever. But this post comes with a HUGE warning! I guess I've discovered my one food I cannot eat unless I want to gorge! haha.. oh well, at least I can eat almost any other food and be ok!

i LOVE peanutbutter and I simply cannot do without it.
I know a secret! There is a plantation (bell plantation) that actually extracts ALL the oil out of peanuts and it makes a powder peanutbutter. All you gotta do is add a little water to paste it back up, and it's simply YUM. best peanutbutter ever. add it to a protien shake to make it yum. theres so much you can do with this stuff.
www.bellplantation.com. I heard about them from hungry-girl! Might take a month or so to get your powdery goodness, but it's worth it. 18 bucks for 4 jars with shipping :)
please do not flag this. im only tryin to help the peanut butter lovers like myself out! <3

wow, the powdered penutbutter is only 55 calories for 2 tablespoons.... thats not bad at all. I think that might be a good thing to bake with, add penutbutter flavor to a lot of things without the killer calories (mmm healthy penutbutter cookies...mmm)
oh man and its so peanutty. sometimes i just lick my finger and stick it in the jar. or sprinkle some over a sugar free dove chocolate square. :) cookies, cakes, smoothies (yum a little bit of this, yogert and a banana. some skim milk. heaven!) protein shakes, add it to your oat meal! so many possibilities.
i told ya it was a secret. haha.

mmm all this talk about peanut butter is gettin' me hungry!..lol I love my Reduced fat creamy skippy peanut butter.. mmmm
Peanut butter is my binge trigger too so I can totally understand where you're coming from, smelko.
It's been about a week since I cut it out. So far so good.

if you cant eat it in moderation, dont eat it at all.
I eat 2 tablespoons on a slice of whole wheat bread. Its my 300 calorie breakfast.
try again later on in your journey. Maybe you can eat is sensibly then.

Hmm I just checked Skippy site when I saw the line about reduced fat peanut butter.. It seems to have the same amount of calories (190 per 2 tbsp). What's the point of having a product where fats (mostly good fats) are replaced with carbs (mainly bad ones)? Protein and fibre seems to be the same.
If you binge on it, don't keep it in your house. I don't eat that much peanut butter because I really have to put at least 2 or 3 tbsp on my toast and that's way too many calories for me.
Instead I eat peanut-butter granola bars or peanut bars as my snack. It's less cals for more food, but has all the benefits of nuts.

yea PB is evil in my mind too.. because i never truely know exactly how much 2 tbsp's is.. even when trying to compare it to a ping pong ball.. it just isnt accurate enough to me haha. I can't visualize that ping pong ball
Went ahead and ordered some of that powdered penut butter... after watching a penut battle on iron chef, i have been dieing to play with penutbutter! But the HUGE calories in it has kept me away... if its really as tasty with only 55 calories, its worth its weight in gold!
nevdull- I never know how to actually read and understand the nutrition labels yet... but I am learning here.. I know that fiber and protein are good and I always watch the fat grams I just thought that eating low fat PB was better than getting all the extra stuff but maybe I?m wrong... I do love the taste of the reduced fat Skippy its soo creamy ;-)
This is exactly my situation! I absolutely cannot eat peanut butter in moderation. I went without it for a few months, and lost weight, but recently started again - and started gaining again! I ate almost an entire jar in two days.....I've decided to give it up completely again. It's a trigger food that usually starts my binges, so hopefully I can stick it out!
Oh god. Peanut butter is like the devil. I never used to eat it, but now I guess I am a bit more protein starved then before...
One of my friends had reduced fat peanut butter. I don't think I could bring myself to stray from all natural, but at that rate I go threw it...
